Funding for school-based mental health under the new $11 billion Safer Communities Act is expected in Connecticut this school year, U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy told Connecticut Public Radio. The legislation covers gun safety, access to pediatric mental care and recruiting counselors and mental health professionals at schools.
